Catalage, the specialist provider of business and management support services worldwide, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Jonathan Parkes as Managing Director. Jonathan will also be appointed to Catalage’s board with immediate effect.
Jonathan will focus on developing and directing the strategic growth of the company, in particular in Catalage’s geographical target areas of West Africa, the Caspian, the Middle East and Asia. He will also be responsible for identifying and developing additional strategic business lines and market sectors to add to the company’s portfolio, as well as establishing a new Aberdeen office which will complement Catalage’s existing offices in the north east of England.
Russell Bambling, Catalage’s Director, said the appointment would help to drive its international expansion further. Mr Bambling said: “The arrival of Jonathan is a great boost for Catalage and will help us build on our achievements to date and make the most of future opportunities. Jonathan brings extensive international experience in successfully facilitating and managing strategic business growth and expansion, in particular in more challenging environments such as West Africa. His unusual range of skill sets will support us as the business further evolves by providing the depth of knowledge and expertise that our clients require.”
Previously Managing Director for the EMEA region for Hallin Marine, for whom he has also been Deputy Managing Director and Commercial Director during his six years with the company, Jonathan has held senior global management, commercial, risk and legal roles with Integrated Subsea Services and i-Tech, a division of Subsea 7. Prior to working in the oil and gas industry, Jonathan worked in the business process outsourcing sector in London working with a variety of industries and public sector bodies. He is also a qualified barrister (non-practising) and holds the Institute of Directors’ Diploma in Company Direction.
